Sales & Business Development

Director Federal Government Business Development

Responsible to identify, recruit and manage Strategic Alliances and partner relationships that materially drive Fortress' access to target markets, ability to integrate solutions into major programs, and drive global adoption of our offerings. Responsible to drive strategic OEM/Technology partnerships, leveraging Fortress core technologies and solutions for integration into communications and security platforms, packages and products. Develop and implement business development initiatives that are consistent with the company's overall strategy. Primary responsibility is to ensure major program wins, develop major channel partner relationships, while facilitating implementation through Fortress' field sales team. The compensation package for such experience is commensurate.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for business development efforts that identify major programs within the federal government and manage Company efforts to secure a position within those opportunities as well as identifying appropriate channel partners to complete the implementation of such programs.
  • Establish and execute multi-year strategic partner plans with critical market capture goals, program based objectives, design-in targets and preferred relationship status.
  • Manage multiple business initiatives while tracking and ensuring success with proper execution
  • Manage complex contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required.
  • Identify potential deals/programs and develop the tactics and teams needed to bring them to fruition
  • Work in conjunction with Fortress' Federal Sales Team to increase the number of government field locations purchasing and deploying Fortress solutions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with strategic "go-to" channel partner's account executives and pre-sale system engineers to increase Fortress' mindshare and revenue

Requirements:

  • 5 years plus of business development with marketing, and/or sales experience.

Sales Director Federal Government

Responsible for certain federal government segments by promoting and selling Fortress products to the agencies in conjunction with appropriate system integrator partners. Performance will be measured by the number of individual opportunities closed, maturity and growth of the territory and gross revenue generated. Success is measured by revenue, customer satisfaction and partner satisfaction. The compensation package for such experience is commensurate.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to establish and drive the strategic and tactical sales strategy for assigned federal market segment.
  • Responsible to identify and build multi-year strategy for growth and capture of large programs, multi-year/multi-site enterprise deployments and targeted solutions.
  • Determine aggressive sales strategy to penetrate and integrate core Fortress capabilities into large IDIQ contracts, Programs of Record, and major initiatives. Ensure that company's solutions are designed-in to these solutions for future rollout.
  • Work in conjunction with Fortress' Federal Sales Team to increase the number of government field locations purchasing and deploying Fortress solutions.
  • Follow-up and qualify government leads received from trade shows, web seminars, advertising, press releases, web inquiries, telephone and email requests.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with strategic "go-to" channel partner's account executives and pre-sale system engineers to increase Fortress' mindshare and revenue
  • Work with Federal Sales Team to provide quotes for maintenance/support and small sales opportunities

Requirements:

  • 5 years plus experience in selling IT solutions to Government agencies, with a strong success record

Senior Principal Software Engineer (Project Lead)

Technical project lead responsible for leading a team of experienced software engineers delivering advanced security and wireless networking products. This is a HIGHLY technical position, candidate will be expected to be involved in the complete architecture and design of complex solutions.

Requirements:

  • BSEE/BSCE/BSCS or equivalent with 10 years software development experience
  • Successful record of delivering multiple major product releases
  • Strong experience with Embedded real-time systems
  • Experience with embedded software, systems architecture and design.
  • Champion of the software development process, set major development objectives, tracking progress, set technical direction and day-to-day priorities

Systems Engineers & Professional Services

Network Systems Engineer – Professional Services

Responsible for providing expertise on the Fortress product line; including FC-X Security Controllers, Secure Wireless Access Bridges, management software, and Secure Clients. In addition, the candidate must be an 802.11 subject matter expert and be well versed in networking and security. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional technical background and extensive experience in complex, heterogeneous networking environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities associated with the radio frequency spectrum and indoor/outdoor 802.11 based networks (such as, but not limited to, network design, engineering, implementation, troubleshooting and gap analysis)
  • Integrate and configure Fortress Security Controllers and Secure Clients (Secure Client Bridge, Win32 Secure Clients, and handheld clients) into existing wired and wireless network infrastructure
  • Support and provide knowledge transfer to customers, internal Fortress employees, and channel partners
  • Assist Sales Engineers and Account Managers with the customer as needed to provide product and networking expertise
  • Advise sales and sales management on customer requirements, Fortress equipment configurations, and structure of service offerings and technology issues that aid in the sale of services and products to Fortress customers

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of 802.11 wireless protocols and standards (802.11a, 802.11b/g, 802.11h, 802.11i)
  • Thorough understanding of indoor and outdoor site survey methodologies, applications (manual and predictive tools), and reporting
  • Experience performing outdoor site assessments including antenna selection, determining mounting, cabling, and lightning protection requirements, and understanding RF link budgets
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Catalyst switches (up to and including the 6500 series) and layer 2 technologies such as Spanning Tree, VLANs, and 802.1Q trunking
  • Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and Ethernet, including routing and bridging, subnets, firewalls and VPNs, ports and protocols, the OSI model, media types and troubleshooting
  • Practical experience with network security methodologies and authentication technology
  • Strong working knowledge installing, configuring, and supporting 3rd party wireless LAN hardware products including, but not limited to, wireless controllers, wireless access points, and wireless client hardware from various vendors (i.e. Cisco, Nortel, Aruba)
  • Prepare, maintain, and enhance technical documentation. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Network Security Engineer (SE)

The Network Sales Engineer (SE) position is a multi-faceted role, demanding a variety of skill sets. The SE must be able to comfortably and effectively work with not only hardware and networking technologies, but customers, potential customers, and co-workers as well. A blend of both technical and interpersonal skills is necessary. The SE should present confidence and competence in the performance of their responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Accompany sales representatives on sales calls to explain and demonstrate the products and technology.
  • Consult with potential and existing clients on proper product selection and placement in order to achieve the client's goals; act as technical liaison to the purchase and installation process.
  • Author proposals and engineering diagrams of proposed installations in conjunction with the above.
  • Participate in trade shows, seminars, and related activities.
  • Provide second/third level technical support to augment existing Fortress technical support personnel.
  • Act as a primary technical point of contact for key clients.
  • Perform on-site and remote service for key clients as required.

Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and Ethernet, including: routing and bridging, subnets, firewalls and VPNs, ports and protocols, ARP, WLAN technologies, the OSI model, media types and troubleshooting.
  • Thorough knowledge of Network Operating Systems, including: Windows NT, 95, 98, Linux/Unix; with ability to install, network and perform administrative tasks.
  • Thorough knowledge of Intel-based hardware, including: motherboards, memory, CPU types, and ability to build a PC from raw parts.
  • Working knowledge of serial port communications.
  • Ability to work under pressure at a client's site or elsewhere while maintaining professionalism.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely articulate concepts of Fortress products and technology to audiences of varying technical levels, often at the same time.

The QA Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing the QA methodology at Fortress Technologies, Inc. This will include working with the development team from the product functions specification to the first customer ship.

Software Quality Assurance Manager

The SQA Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day software quality assurance activities in the company. This person must have experience in establishing and managing a SQA methodology within a small to medium sized company, supervising SQA personnel and performing SQA duties when needed. This person will establish project metrics and report the findings to senior management.

Vice President Marketing & Corporate Development

The VP Marketing & Corporate Development is a member of the Company's executive team. He/she is responsible for providing executive leadership, strategic insight and direction to the company's overall go to market strategy. Responsible for leading the growth and expansion strategy for Fortress through the creation and execution of strategic marketing, sales, and partnering plans. This person will help to drive the Company's strategic marketing and sales plan to support overall corporate objectives, focusing on market identification, solutions value, partner strategy, and execution to these objectives. Fortress is looking for a seasoned executive to hit the ground running. The compensation package for such experience is commensurate.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to develop and implement the Company's corporate development and marketing strategies to expand Fortress' leadership position in security and secure wireless communications.
  • Build and manage a Business Development team chartered to identify, recruit, and nurture strategic partnerships and alliances - primary focus identifying large appropriate federal programs and potential partners to fulfill requirements and ensure success
  • Focus on establishing strategic OEM/Technology partnerships to deliver Fortress solutions and technologies to market
  • Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the Company's overall strategy
  • Responsible to build and lead a marketing organization that is chartered to drive market strategy, market research, marketing communications & PR and product marketing initiatives.

Customer Support & General Administration

Customer Support Manager - Technical

Responsible for providing product expertise and technical knowledge for resolution of customer issues on Fortress product lines. Management of Customer Service Support team. Provides direct customer support and consultation. Ensure knowledge base information reporting to management of performance and status of support incidents. The compensation package for such experience is commensurate.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement customer support systems, standards, and reporting to ensure exceptional delivery of support services and high customer satisfaction levels
  • Management of customer services support team and cross functional interactions
  • Manage the deployment, maintenance status, support history, upgrade levels and tracking of all customer owned Fortress products
  • Assist in timely troubleshooting, escalation and resolution of difficult customer problems
  • Develop Customer Support knowledge base and repository to assist customers in problem resolution without direct assistance
