Mesh

Fortress provides two mesh technologies, MicroMesh™ and MacroMesh™. MicroMesh is included as a primary feature in the base ES520. MicroMesh provides the self-forming and self-healing capabilities core to any mesh architecture. MicroMesh is designed to support fixed infrastructure or portable networks.

Performance Modules

The FC-X’s Selectable Performance Module allows end-users to respond to growing bandwidth needs by simply selecting the appropriate performance for their network. With the Selectable Performance Module, the FC-X can be configured for encrypted performance of 250, 500 or 1500Mbps.

Suite B

The Suite B Security Module implements a set of cryptographic algorithms specified by the National Security Agency (NSA) to provide standard, interoperable security for protecting both classified and sensitive but unclassified (SBU) information. Suite B provides a flexible, affordable and easy-to-use complement to heavily restricted Type 1 products currently used to meet U.S. government security requirements for classified information.

Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS)

A Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) module is available for the Fortress ES520. This module allows one of the radios in a Fortress ES520 to function as a WIDS sensor and report to a WIDS server.
